Black Wattle-Cellering

I was given a lovely bottle of Black Wattle as a gift,
it does have a cellaring etc guide,
do you think its ok sitting on my bedroom cupboard (away for the teens!) not i the sun,standing up or lying down? ( I have a special old NZNavy port in the wooden wine box)
as Ive had some layed down bottles & the sediment/chrystals as soon as you try & stand it mixes up & makes you realise all that time was wasted!
suggestions please (no.... not drink it!)
